Welcome to Kevin's Homepage. In my homepage, you will read about me and my failed marriage. When I was a young man, I always thought to myself that I never want to get divorced. I didn't understand that when there is no longer love, a divorce is necessary to prevent a bigger problem.  When Kevin saw other people get divorced, he thought to himself that their marriage collapsed because their husbands don't know how to treat their wives right or fair. When my ex-wife left me after 12 years of marriage, I then understand that divorce is necessary when dishonesty plays a role in the marriage.

Columnist, Harlan Cohen said in his questions and answers on January 11th, 2005, which printed on St. Paul Pioneer Press, questioning "If you're once a cheater, are you always a cheater?" His answer was, "Like a felon with a record, YES, once a cheater ALWAYS a cheater. Will the cheater cheat again? That's is the real question.

Cheaters who grow up cheating and get away with cheating will most likely continue. A cheater who engages in a random cheat can be rehabilitated, but he or she needs serious help (For example, a spouse suffering from an addition or mental health issues who cheats as a byproduct of his or her illness). If a cheater cheats and refuses to get help and acknowledge the pain caused by the cheating, the cheater should be dumped.

An apology and promise from the cheater isn't enough especially with a repeat cheat. For those single and cheated on, dump the cheater. There are enough noncheaters and soul mates available that you don't need to hang onto the cheat. Besides, if cheaters learned that cheating has real consequences, they might not cheat. After reading Harlan Cohen's article and advices from these websites, I am very proud of myself and the decision I made regarding to my failed marriage. I understand that my marriage to her will never be better off, but worse. My marriage to her will eventually collapse in the future regardless of how I handle it. "Dishonest spouse will always cheat when she get the opportunity. I said to myself, "be a real man and stand for what I believe a man shall do."
